New Look, Same Mission: Austin Urban League Re-launches the Young Professionals
Though they’ve been around for the last few months, the Austin Area Urban League is excited to announce the relaunch of the Young Professionals (YPs). A dedicated group of diverse, passionate and engaged young’ins, the Austin Area Urban League Young Professionals (AAULYPs) are looking to transform their generation and community through philanthropic efforts, social outreach, and education. The YPs are working as a program of the Austin Area Urban League, which cites the tagline: Empowering Communities, Changing Lives.
The AAULYPs are committed to helping make the city of Austin a more supportive community for cultural diversity, and a place where people of color will thrive socially and professionally. Through engaging education projects and innovative social events that appeal to a broad swath of individuals, the AAULYP looks to become a catalyst for dialogue, networking, and civic responsibility.
The YPs believe to be in the right place at the right time and hope to provide resources that encourage interaction with social, cultural, educational and political institutions. This diverse group of engaged individuals is dedicated to cultivating a more united community, cross-cultural idea exchange, and diverse avenues for interaction and fun in the wonderful city of Austin.
The Austin Area Urban League Young Professional relaunched this past January with the generous support of the Austin Area Urban League and National Urban League Young Professionals. Join the movement – “sowing opportunity, ability and imagination in the lives of those who need it most” and join us for our launch party on May 7th. For more information connect with us at:
